Ching Ming Festival Hong Kong symbolizes the beginning of spring. It is also called 'Grave Sweeping Day' or 'Remembrance of Ancestors Day'. On Ching Ming (seasonal festival of the clear and bright), the whole Chinese family will visit their ancestral graves to get rid of weeds. Members of the family will also carry joss sticks, paper money, paper clothes as well as other paper accessories to make offerings to the departed relatives. Furthermore, during Chinese Ching Ming Festival, you may see the ambience of a picnic at the graveside as the family will eat the offered food after the traditional rite.
