The temple is dedicated to the admirable "Che Kung" (General Che), a great soldier who achieved fame by putting down a rebellion in South China during the Sung Dynasty (AD 960-1279). He is said to have accompanied the Emperor when he fled to Hong Kong before the fall of the Sung Dynasty. After his death, people began worshipping him for his courage and fealty.

Tai Fu TeiTai Fu Tei

This is a famous old building in San Tin ( The New Territories of HK ). The owner of this building qualified in the examination held by Emperor of Ching Dynasty and the 'certificate' is still hanging under the ceiling as you can see. And Nasir, this shot is also posted for you. No cropping is done, and you can see no fall-offs at all corners, no distortion and finally, very high resolution with great contrast performance. Buy one, if you are lucky as me, find a 'brand new' 2nd hand with reasonable price ( I did ). By the way, the angle of the viewfinder is similar to the 15mm lens, with experiences you only need to use one for both lenses.

The explanation is that the Airport Express, which whisks them across the bridge in either direction, travels through one of two rail tunnels slung beneath two three-lane carriageways roadway. All are passengers who have either just arrived at Hong Kong's ultra-modern International Airport at Chek Lap Kok, or are hurrying there to catch their return flights.

Sam Tung Uk, "three rows of dwelling", is a restored 200-year-old rural walled village. The 2,000-square-metre museum includes an ancestral hall, two rows of side houses, an exhibition hall and a lecture hall. It houses displays of period furniture, handicrafts and agricultural equipment.

Despite its modern developments, Fanling still has many beautiful traditional buildings. Fung Ying Seen Koon, west of Fanling railway station, is one such popular local attraction. Built in 1929, it was founded as an affiliate of the Dragon Gate sect of the Complete Perfection lineage. Inside are statues of Lao Tzu and Qiu Chang Qing, two prominent Taoist masters. Fung Ying Seen Koon is one of the most influential Taoist establishments in Hong Kong.


Lung Yeuk Tau Heritage TrailLung Yeuk Tau Heritage Trail
Located Area: Fanling

This is the second Heritage Trail in the New Territories and is located in an area known locally as the "Mountain of the Leaping Dragon". The Trail takes walkers through 11 centuries-old villages, five of them enclosed within stout walls for safety reasons. Most are connected with the Tang Clan, one of the historic Five Great Clans of the New Territories.

These two famous banyan trees are a favourite with local villagers who come to burn joss sticks and incense papers hoping their wishes will come true.
